Known for its association with the famous movie ‘The Beach,’ the Phi Phi Islands have faced challenges from mass tourism, particularly in the renowned Maya Bay, which eventually led to its closure.
At Zeavola, we are passionate environmentalists, and our journey to sustainable luxury has been nothing short of remarkable. ‘The Little Sustainability’ takes you on an engaging journey, sharing the trials and triumphs of creating sustainable luxury in this remote paradise.
Throughout the book, you’ll discover personal anecdotes involving mischievous cockerels, friendly snakes, adorable kittens, and encounters with the local sea gypsies, alongside tales of red tractors, disappearing sand, and towering castles. Our team humbly sought advice and inspiration from sustainability leaders, learning and growing every step of the way.
Simple yet impactful initiatives have been instrumental in reducing our environmental footprint. Replacing plastic packaging for deliveries saves a remarkable 260kg per year, while our dedicated drinking water bottling plant and #refillmybottle water stations eliminate over 120,000 single-use plastic bottles annually. Embracing water purification techniques designed by the late King of Thailand, over 280 million liters of water are purified each year.
